I'm Hein Puth, the founder of Warky Devs. I've been writing software since 2006 — two decades across industries, stacks, and databases — and I bring all of it to every project I take on. 20 Years Experience 15+ Programming Languages 13+ Years PostgreSQL LPIC Certified Linux Pro ### My Journey My journey in the tech world began while I was still in school, where I started working with Linux. It was during this time that I pursued my LPIC (Linux Professional Institute) certification, solidifying my expertise in Linux systems. I earned a diploma and degree in Information Technology, Programming, and Business Studies. Additionally, I became a certified Cisco engineer and completed extensive training in various programming languages and SQL database engines, including Oracle, Microsoft SQL, and MySQL. This comprehensive education laid a solid foundation for my career. While contemplating pursuing my master's degree, I briefly tutored at the university, teaching and helping students with programming. However, I soon realized that my true passion lay in development, and I decided to pursue it full-time. My journey has taken me through various industries and technologies, from modding games like CS1.6 and Half-Life Deathmatch to crafting immersive online experiences. I developed websites for companies using PHP and jQuery back when that was the popular stack. Delving into the vehicle tracking industry, I rewrote major parts of their backend systems and managed MySQL databases. I developed the tracking sites in PHP, honing my skills in system integration and real-time data processing. My passion for innovation led me to explore new horizons, including writing C++ desktop tools, contributing to open-source projects, and immersing myself in the world of Linux. Since 2014, I've been heavily involved in Debt Counselling Software Development. I've written tools and systems to manage multi-location installs, led the conversion from Microsoft SQL to PostgreSQL, developed financial systems, and performed numerous integrations. That collaboration continues today — developing new web solutions with our partners and pushing the technology forward. With over 13 years of experience, I consider myself an expert in PostgreSQL, leveraging its power to build robust and scalable solutions. I'm currently putting new languages on my stack, trying and leveraging the correct tools for the job, staying at the forefront of technology. ### The Programmer's Pledge - Never write malicious or dangerous code. - Always deliver your best work, with good behaviour and structure. - Don't let defective code accumulate. - Ensure the code is working like it was supposed to with proof and test cases. - Make frequent and small changes as to not impede others. - Always improve the system and never degrade it. - Keep productivity as high as possible for both users and developers. - Ensure that your team can cover for you and you for them. - Produce estimates that are honest in both magnitude and precision or do not promise. - Never stop learning and improving your craft. - Be reasonable. ### Efficiency without Time Wasting I trim the fat. No unnecessary meetings, no paperwork—just focused work on the task at hand. When you work with me, you can be sure I'm not wasting a moment of your time. ### Continuous Maintenance and Growth Your business is like a living organism, always evolving. Photo editing, peculiar designs, custom printing, 3D creations, and unforgettable events—made with a little darkness, a lot of imagination, and the occasional explosion of colour. ## About ChronoCraft ChronoCraft is the creative division of Warky Devs (https://warky.dev), managed and run by Cindy Berriman-Puth. It is a home for ideas that refuse to stay ordinary. Some creations are dark, delicate, and dramatic. Others are wildly colourful, playful, and wonderfully odd. Every piece is shaped around the person, story, or occasion behind it—and given the time and attention needed to become something meaningful. Cindy's creative world draws inspiration from Tim Burton's gothic whimsy—particularly The Nightmare Before Christmas and Corpse Bride—alongside the warmth, wonder, and expressive storytelling of classic Disney animation. ## The meaning behind the name ### Chrono Represents time: the fleeting moments worth preserving, the milestones worth celebrating, and the hours patiently invested in making something properly. ### Craft Represents the human touch: imagination shaped through care, experimentation, skill, and attention to the smallest details. Together, ChronoCraft is the idea that memorable things take time. A photograph preserves a moment. An invitation begins the anticipation. A printed gift carries a memory forward. A 3D creation forms layer by layer. An event brings months of thought into a few unforgettable hours. The result is not simply made—it is considered, shaped, and crafted to last beyond the moment that inspired it. ## Creative services 📷 ### Photo editing Preserving a fleeting moment through moody monochrome, vivid colour, unusual compositions, and edits filled with personality. 💌 ### Invitations Setting the tone for a moment still to come, from elegant and enchanting to delightfully macabre. 🖨️ ### 3D printing Building custom objects, decorations, curiosities, and practical pieces layer by layer, hour by hour. 👕 ### T-shirt printing Turning memories, identities, artwork, and wonderfully strange ideas into something wearable. ☕ ### Cup printing Creating everyday keepsakes for celebrations, inside jokes, curious artwork, and small moments of magic. 🎉 ### Event organisation Bringing countless details together at the right time to create one coherent and memorable experience. ## Pick a creative world No single visual style owns ChronoCraft. The right world depends on the idea, the person, and the moment being shaped. Styles can stay pure or collide completely—black and white can meet neon, elegant can become eerie, cute can grow fangs. ### Monochrome Gothic Deep blacks, pale whites, long shadows, elegant lines, and dramatic contrast. ### Curious Colour Unexpected palettes, vivid accents, playful chaos, and designs that refuse to whisper. ### Storybook Classic Warm nostalgia, expressive characters, gentle magic, and timeless animated charm. ### Beautifully Strange Crooked shapes, quirky details, unusual creatures, dark humour, and a soft heart beneath it all. ## Made for peculiar people and memorable moments - Birthdays, weddings, celebrations, and themed events - Personalised gifts, keepsakes, and unusual surprises - Portrait, family, product, and event photo editing - Custom clothing, cups, and promotional pieces - 3D-printed decorations, curiosities, and useful objects - Invitations and matching event details - One-off creations that do not fit neatly into a category ## From moment to keepsake Every project begins with a spark and follows a carefully considered—if slightly crooked—creative path. 1 ### Mark the moment Share the person, occasion, story, mood, or wonderfully weird idea behind the project. 2 ### Shape the vision Explore the colours, shadows, forms, materials, and unexpected details. 3 ### Give it time Refine, experiment, and let the idea develop instead of forcing it into the first convenient shape. 4 ### Craft it Turn the vision into a design, print, edited photograph, physical object, or event experience. 5 ### Make it last Apply the finishing touches and create something that remains meaningful after the moment has passed. ## The person behind ChronoCraft Cindy Berriman-Puth manages and runs ChronoCraft. Her taste moves comfortably between colourful and monochrome, charming and eerie, polished and peculiar. She combines imagination, patience, organisation, and personal care to guide every project from its first strange spark to its finished fantastical form. ChronoCraft reflects her belief that creativity should not feel rushed or mass-produced. Each creation deserves the time to find its own character. ## Part of Warky Devs ChronoCraft combines Cindy's hands-on creativity with the technical foundation of Warky Devs. This connection creates room for unusual projects that cross between art, design, technology, digital experiences, and physical objects. Android Offline-first SQLite local storage Configurable backends Download APK v1.0.4 (https://git.warky.dev/wdevs/fcc/releases/download/v1.0.4/field_capture_client-v1.0.4.apk) ## What It Can Do For You 🏠 ### Insurance Inventory Walk through your property scanning barcodes and photographing items. Build a timestamped record of everything you own — ready when you need it for a claim. ⚡ ### Utility Readings Capture meter readings with a photo, GPS location, and timestamp in one step. Maintain a structured log that can feed directly into your billing or reporting system. 🔧 ### Field Service & Repairs Capture notes, photos, and GPS on site. Data queues locally and submits to your backend automatically when back in range — no fighting unreliable connectivity. 📦 ### Stock & Asset Tracking Scan barcodes or QR codes to log stock movements, equipment check-ins, and asset inspections. Structured data goes exactly where your system expects it. 📝 ### Inspection & Compliance Run structured inspection checklists with photo evidence and sign-off fields. Submissions carry a full delivery history — every retry logged, nothing lost. 🗺️ ### Survey & Data Collection Build custom survey workflows with text, number, select, date, audio, and GPS steps. Deploy updated workflows to all devices by updating the remote workflow source — no app update needed. ## How It Works 1 ### Configure workflows Define capture steps — what to collect, in what order. Host workflows remotely so devices stay in sync automatically. 2 ### Capture in the field Run a workflow on the device. Scan, photograph, record — everything stored locally in SQLite, no connectivity required. 3 ### Automatic delivery A background worker queues submissions and delivers them when connectivity returns — exponential backoff, automatic retry, full attempt history. 4 ### Data in your system Data arrives at your API or webhook as structured JSON with multipart media attachments — ready to process, store, or forward. ## Capabilities ### Capture Step Types - Text & notes - Numbers & measurements - Single / multi-select - Date & time - Photo capture - Audio recording - Barcode scan - QR code scan - GPS location ### Backend Integration - Any JSON REST API endpoint - Webhook delivery (JSON + multipart) - Remote workflow source URLs - Token-based authentication - Per-attempt delivery history - Exponential backoff & retry - Draft sessions (resume later) ## Support Package I offer hands-on support to get Field Capture Client working for your specific use case — from first install to data flowing into your system. ### Setup & Onboarding Get running from scratch - App installation & configuration walkthrough - Reference server setup (Go backend included) - Provider & submission target configuration - End-to-end test submission verification ### Workflow Design Built for your data - Custom workflow design for your use case - Remote workflow source hosting & deployment - Step ordering, required fields, validation rules - Multi-workflow setups for different teams or tasks ### Integration & Ongoing Connect it to your systems - API / webhook integration with your existing backend - Custom backend development if needed - Ongoing support for workflow updates & changes - Feature requests & priority bug reports ### Technical Details Platform Android (minSdk 26) Stack Flutter / Dart, Riverpod Storage SQLite via Drift Delivery WorkManager, exponential backoff ## Get Started with Field Capture Client Get in touch to discuss your field data requirements and I'll put together the right setup for you. The right solution comes from the right understanding. 🔧 ### Minimum Force, Maximum Impact I apply minimum force with maximum precision. Elegant solutions over brute force implementations. ⚙️ ### Automate Everything Possible Manual processes are error-prone and inefficient. I automate deployments, testing, backups, and monitoring so you can focus on what matters. 🛡️ ### Always Have a Backup Plan Things will go wrong. Servers crash, databases fail, deployments break. I build with redundancy, monitoring, and disaster recovery so you're never caught off guard. 🌱 ### Built to Grow Your business evolves, and so should your software. I build with continuous maintenance and growth in mind. 💎 ### Craftsmanship Matters I take pride in my work. Every project receives the attention and expertise it deserves. ## Ready to Work Together? Just what I've actually observed. ## It changed how fast I can move I've been writing code since 2006. I've seen a lot of things get called "game changers" that weren't. AI actually is one — but not in the way most people describe it. The change isn't that AI writes code for me. The change is that the gap between having an idea and having a working prototype has collapsed. Things that used to take a day of research and scaffolding now take an hour. That's not a productivity boost — it's a different mode of working entirely. When I built Field Capture Client (/apps) in Flutter — a stack I was learning — having an AI that could answer "why does Riverpod behave like this" in context, while I was mid-problem, meant I wasn't constantly breaking flow to read documentation. That matters more than most people realise. ## It's a force multiplier, not a replacement People who are worried AI will replace developers are mostly watching the wrong part of the picture. AI is exceptionally good at pattern completion and generating plausible-looking output. What it can't do is understand your system, your constraints, your tradeoffs, or whether the answer it gave you is actually correct for your situation. That gap — between generated output and correct, contextual, maintainable code — is exactly where developer experience matters most. The people who will struggle are those who hand off that judgment. The ones who thrive are those who use AI to move faster while keeping their own understanding sharp. I've seen generated code that looked perfect, passed a surface review, and quietly broke something downstream. Catching that requires actually understanding the system. AI doesn't remove that requirement — it raises the stakes for it. ## Context is the hard problem The biggest limitation I kept running into wasn't model quality — it was memory. Every new conversation started from zero. The AI didn't know my project, my conventions, my past decisions, or why something was done a certain way. That friction compounds fast on longer projects. That's the problem I built AMCS (/apps) to solve. It's an MCP server that gives AI agents persistent memory — thoughts, project context, learnings, files — so the agent has the background it needs without you restating it every session. Skills and guardrails per project mean you can shape agent behaviour consistently across tools and conversations. The infrastructure around AI — how you store context, how you inject it, how you keep an agent's behaviour predictable — is where most of the real engineering work lives right now. It's not glamorous but it's what makes the difference between a demo and something reliable. ## World models and the responsibility to understand Concepts and world models will always be difficult for AI unless we can describe them well enough. I see the same problem in how people communicate: two people can use the same words while understanding completely different things. The consequences of that gap can be serious. For some reason, we are often more willing to accept misunderstanding from an AI than from another person. But who is responsible for understanding: the speaker or the listener? My honest answer is both. The listener has to make an effort, but the speaker cannot assume that their meaning arrived intact simply because they said the words. We cannot force a particular view into another person's mind. Everyone interprets new information through a world view shaped by their own experiences. That stability is both a benefit and a flaw: years of repetition can create deep expertise, but repetition alone does not guarantee learning. It can also reinforce assumptions that are difficult to question. AI gives us a different opportunity. At this point in time, we can deliberately reshape its working world view by supplying context, defining terms, showing examples, and correcting bad assumptions. Applying this well means doing more than writing a clever prompt. We need to make our knowledge explicit, test whether the AI understood it, and treat every failure as feedback about either the model's reasoning or the way we communicated the problem. ## What shifts when you take it seriously ### Research time Getting up to speed on an unfamiliar API, library, or language is dramatically faster. Dart and Flutter were new to me — I'd have spent weeks in documentation alone without AI assistance. ### Boilerplate cost The parts of development that were tedious but necessary — scaffolding, repetitive structure, first-draft tests — no longer consume serious time. That energy goes toward the interesting problems. ### Solo capability I can take on larger scope as a single developer than was realistic before. Not because AI does the work, but because it reduces the overhead on parts of the work that aren't the core of what I'm trying to build. ### Judgment demand The bar for understanding what you're building actually goes up. You see more output, faster — which means you need to evaluate it faster and more accurately. Sloppy review gets expensive quickly. ## The honest limits AI is confidently wrong often enough that you can't switch off your own understanding. It hallucinates APIs, misses edge cases, and sometimes produces code that looks correct until you run it against real data. The skill of knowing when to trust the output — and when to dig deeper — is not optional. It also has no stake in your system's long-term health. It won't refuse to generate something that's technically correct but architecturally wrong for your codebase. That responsibility stays with the developer. None of that makes it less useful. It just means the people getting the most out of it are the ones who treat it as a capable but fallible collaborator — not an oracle and not a threat. ## Why it matters beyond the tools The more interesting shift isn't in any specific tool — it's in what's now possible for a small team or a single developer with domain expertise. The leverage available now would have required a much larger team five years ago. That changes who can build what, and how fast. For anyone building software — or relying on someone who does — that's worth paying attention to. Written by Hein Puth · Warky Devs · Get in touch (/contact)
